There is some work pending on this but in the meantime please note the following:
If you highlight some text and click the Italic button, the text attribute (a double underline __ ) is inserted before and after the text. There is a bug in this: trailing spaces are not stripped from the text being underlined, and then if you have something like this
__text with a space at the end __
it doesn’t work.
If you want to put a large block of text (including multi paragraph) into italics, use the
<aside>
block of text…
</aside>
attributes before and after it. We will modify the Italics button to do that also, automatically, at the next site update.
The Bold and Underline buttons already strip off any training spaces.
