Dreaded black band

Still getting the 'DSC' black band right across articles like the Cirrus no fuel incident, where it stuck just below the cover photo. Closing the browser fixed it - OK next time.

Antique ie8, XP SP3, SVGA but can't afford any better.

I recall this was an IE8-only issue. Try Chrome, Firefox, etc.

Unfortunately these things happen. I have a website which fails with FF and Chrome but works with IE8

The way the post "add message" box works is being completely revamped, with a snazzy new toolbar, a semi WYSIWYG editing mode and a new preview. Once it's deployed then the problem you're seeing should disappear. Hopefully soon!

I think that everybody needs at-least two browsers these days.

For me it's FF and IE8. Our work (Joomla based) website works chronically badly in IE8 but perfectly in FF, on the other hand the work (Outlook) webmail works perfectly in IE8 but very clunkily in FF.

I'm told that Chrome is excellent, but I'll bet there's stuff that doesn't work well in that either.

Have 2+ options installed and if something misbehaves, switch browser.

Flyer works well in FF for me.
