What is coming from EASA next?

Can anyone guess what they are cooking up for 2016?

It’s a pretty wide question…

Single Engine Commercial ops? The consultation results and recommendations were expected during the summer but so far, nada.

EGSU, United Kingdom

France has already approved a TBM for single engine AOC charter operations – see here There is a mention of Q3/2016 with an EASA reference.

SET commercial ops would be a great step forward.

I’m sure it would make borderline commercial airports lydd, Plymouth, manston, blackpool much more commercially viable.

Shame its come too late for Sheffield city

I have moved postings on the viability of short distance charters here

Some news concerning the French TBM ops: Flight Global

LOAN Wiener Neustadt Ost, Austria

One thing I have heard was OPS regs for EASA Complex (5700kg+, etc) will come in in some form in 2016. The previous proposal is here (search for “some inconsistencies”) and that one was abandoned. It will be stuff like balanced field (being able to stop from V1) for jets and ME turboprops.
