Welcome to our forums

What kind of topics would you most like to see on EuroGA?

Clearly we have a very diverse community here, so this seems like a useful question.

I am quite happy with the mix we get currently

Me too, apart from one thing: Too much “EASA bashing” for my taste. Even if there is some truth in it, it won’t help to do it in this place. It would be much better to contact the real persons working there, either directly, or via someone at the national aviation authority (who are mostly equally unhappy about EASA as we are) or some organistion like AOPA. Turning every second thread here into an anti EASA thread doesn’t help anyone.

If you only want to hear about your own specialism, a forum is little use. I enjoy seeing how others fly, and where their joys and problems are (and their worst cost factors).
About EASA I must second what next.

I’d like to see more VFR trip reports for countries other than France. I’m trying to get more ideas on where to venture out to this summer!

Great Oakley, U.K. & KTKI, USA

JJBeall: no doubts possible, BE is the one place where you will find all you could wish. As a tourist you will get great cuisine, nice scenery, museums and historical cities; as a pilot you find a wide variety of airfields from good quality grass fields to affordable IFR airports, always English on the radio, and very helpful professional ATC. What more could you wish for?

Engine Technology, Avionics.

United States

I probably do some avionics input but really you people need to kick off threads on the other stuff

I like what’s on here. Largely because its a different world to what I fly in . although its a world I would like to fly in. As an instructor I never fly of the creases of the map. So all this long range IFR touring is something I know nothing about and I very much enjoy reading about it.

Keep it up

I know there is a ‘Student Pilots’ section, but I do wish sometimes that more students would find their way here and ask questions, as although there is a lot of ‘high brow’ (to coin Peter’s phrase) expertise, but there is a lot of ‘VFR’ knowledge that could be passed on through here. I wonder how new people to GA come across the other site first, maybe because of it’s long time existence.
