Who has the best hangar?

I thought this would be a right topic for Hangar Talk

I have just seen photos of a friend’s hangar which are just amazing. Ex military, and nothing short of a 500lb laser guided bomb would get in there.

At the other end, mine has huge holes in the roof and, since the roof slopes, the water falling through the holes is more intense than being outside

I’m not surprised.

After a 15 minute english summer rain, the hangars at Duxford had about 5cm standing water in them.

The Grimbergen round hangars are quite nice. They apparently managed to get them into a heritage protection scheme, that means they get money from the government to maintain them, and they cannot be repurposed for anything else.

Our hangar is very nice. But it is not really ours but rented instead, so that doesn’t count.

This is what I’m going to have one day.

This is what will probably be an intermediary step until I get there.

For now I am stuck with this.

PS: This year the city spent 154,000 € to install a new roof. A remarkable difference, it actually stays dry!

Any hanger handy to have. Sadly in my part of the UK (Yorkshire) there simply isn’t enough.

@Europaxs,
how long does it take you to take the plane out of the trailer and rig the wings?
