Wow, great pictures. I’d like to fly that one day in my Lake, although no short term goal.

Having never flown the approach at BGBW before, I elected to fly VFR below rather than descend through cloud with mountains all around. Conditions up the fjord were 9999 OVC015 or BKN with superb vis and the occasional shaft of sunlight illuminating the glacier ahead.
The approach is a little better now there is a GPS approach there but the NDB DME is butt clenching in IMC.
You need to time your arrival to match Air Greenland arrivals. Amazing how the cloud base rises when they are inbound.
Changed from the Jumbo 21 years to the 777
800hrs to pay the bills
62 hrs in the Robbie
51 hours in various other fixed wing planes
Best ground speed ever …

Looks like this was in the 340? Any chance of a writeup on this type in the new Aircraft section?
under 20hrs.
Plans for 2017:
Sell the plane and give up flying. Medical has expired 6 days ago.
That’s very sad, mdoerr… Always very sad to see someone pack it up.
Sell the plane and give up flying.
That’s sad to hear, but I’m sure you have your reasons.
But before you actually give up, can I suggest that you make it along to one of the EuroGA flyins? If nothing else, it would be a very enjoyable note to end on!

I take it it is for medical reasons. Sorry to hear that.
