Your highest ever altitude?

FL240 in a high altitude test of my Cessna.

FL850 in my SR-71 when I retire…

FL450 Citation
FL250 pressurised piston twins and Turboprop
FL170 (or 180?) non-turbo, unpressirised piston single, sans oxygen (wouldn’t do the last bit again though)

EDDS - Stuttgart

FL095 in the former SR20 of my club
I found it had an anaemic climb rate and I had to remove the STEC VS mode…

ELLX (Luxembourg), Luxembourg

FL105 in my Jodel DR250… That took a while…

FL120 in a C172S in cold April between EDDH and EHGG, otherwise it would have been a struggle to reach it.

FL060 last week, c172, NE Portugal.
I’ve been higher when tracking in Nepal… not sure it counts :)

11500 ft or FL115 in the Alps, Austria and Switzerland.

No oxygen yet so hesitant to fly higher. Looking forward to a first trip down there in a C182 with oxygen to revise the figures quoted above.

Hungriger Wolf (EDHF), Germany

FL170 with my Mooney C, with oxygen. Reached it with ISA+20° in 2014, so probably could even go higher if temperatures were lower.

LSZH(work) LSZF (GA base), Switzerland

Reached it with ISA+20° in 2014, so probably could even go higher if temperatures were lower.

Probably another 2000ft!

I have done FL210

(around 9:30)

I can’t recall the temperature – about -20C.
