@Canuck I very much like those pictures with the plane ON the beach.
As did I. These beaches are renown for being firm when the tide goes out. In these cases the tires barely left a mark. The landings are softer and smoother than a runway, as there are no expansion joints or cracks. As always, caution is warranted, if you walk around a lot you can sometimes find a soft spot. Probably best to bring a Sat phone/ SPOT GPS transmitter or go with a friend in another plane just in case something goes awry.
There are others that I haven’t landed on that are almost 10,000 feet of dead smooth hard sand… one day.
