Put what into the deep freeze?
In the UK “white spirit” is a petroleum product, used as thinners for some paints. not ethyl alcohol. Some other, more specialised, paint thinners are very destructive on plastics. (As used on fabric aircraft.)
UK "IMS "(industrial methylated spirit) is clear ethyl alcohol with a small % (4%?) of poisonous methyl alcohol added. Retail “methylated spirit” is IMS dyed purple.
Petroleum products frequently dissolve/degrade assorted plastic containers. Alcohols on their own don’t seem to do so. Alcohol mixed with petroleum product may be different.
