Does anyone have any suggestions for removing avgas stains from the top of a wing? They are fresh, but it is amazing how quickly they seem to penetrate a paint job. I’ve tried all kinds of aircraft cleaners and cleaning waxes without luck. Of course I’d like to preserve the paint job as much as possible.
Common degreaser products for cars and some “elbow grease” usually does the trick for the clubs PA-25 at least… polish and wax afterwards makes it easier the next time..

If you have access to a buffer and 3M compound it will remove it. You’d be better to ask someone who knows how to use it though than have a dabble. Thats how a family car covered in suncream prints and marks is taken in as a trade in, and appears like a new pin on the forecourt a week later…..
