Bosco, just checked the dates and realized i arrived a few days after you had departed. My ride is an n-reg da40.
I’d just flown Fairoaks – La Rochelle – Aix Les Milles – Cannes. Had some fun doing the low level route through Nice airspace (ES1) at 500 feet from west to east, then climbing up to 4500-5000 to the east of Nice to fly E-NA-EW (crossing the coast next to Monte Carlo and flying over the mountains, through the back country…) Took some great videos on my new Garmin VIRB, which seems to take better in-cockpit videos than my GoPro Hero 3; something about the dark/light interior/exterior contrast and the wider frame of view.
Bobo, agree that it would be nice to have an IR (it is at the top of my to do list).
