Does anybody know which type of VFR Charts are today a good choice to buy?
Thank you
Will a print from SkyDemon suffice if you really need them on paper?
I think the only countries which print usable charts are
France
UK
Germany
Switzerland
If you are outside these then you have to use one of the electronic products.
The RogersData charts are ok, too.
Depends a lot of which country/countries you intend to fly in.
I like the new Air Million series (only has an initial look). They cover a number of countries on one chart (about 5 cover most of Europe) but are at a scale of 1Million (unsurprisingly!).
I just completed a trip from Ireland through the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands & Belgium using EasyVFR and not a paper chart.
@Peter – what makes the charts issued by say Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia and others not fit for purpouse?
So far I have flown over Italy, but thanks to all you, I understood that I need an upgrade, tablet, software, ecc
Peter,
add Czech 1:500 000 chart produced by RLP to the list, it has excellent topo layer, much better compared to what VFR+GPS used to have.
I think the Norwegian charts are pretty good. On the other hand the airspace is pretty simple.

Peter, it would help if you told us what charts you have actually looked at! Somehow I doubt that you have used VFR charts from every single country in Europe.
