Can one have an IFR aircraft without a vac pump but with only one alternator?

Aspen now also has Evolution backup, which starts as 5995 USD for the basic version.

How much would it be for the simplest installed IFR aspen?

The simplest installation would be with EFD1000 VFR. Although this unit is designed with VFR in mind, you are allowed to use it in IFR. Starts at 4995 USD. Installation depends a lot on aircraft and equipment in aircraft.

I have an Aspen PFD and I just removed the vacuum driven AI, the vacuum system and the standby vacuum pump and put in a Sandia Quattro. Lost over 10kg. Legal on an N reg because the latter has its own backup battery and a certified degraded mode that still provides attitude when the pitot is blocked (which would take out the Aspen).
