My dad and I bought this plane (1980 Piper Dakota PA28-236) about 18 months ago. We had the panel totally redone in the states before it was flown over. The 235hp engine is really great, it’s a super solid machine and has exceed our expectations in every way. With the engine monitor we’re able to get the fuel burn down to around 10 gallons @ 130 kts TAS at FL085. We opted for a fixed gear because we wanted to fly into really rough stripes, this Christmas we flew from the UK to Kenya and it was a dream going into dirt stripes. If we were looking purely at European touring then it’s probably a little slow…

120? 140? How big is it compared to a C150?
Not mine, but a bird I fly regularly and with great pleasure!

Mine’s a very original 1947 140 .
There is a lot that was carried over from the 120/140 to the original 150, they share the same basic dimensions and structure.
Great photo taken Sunday by a friend as I was returning home.
