A 'new' design

So what would happen if someone stuck two Austros or Technify 2.0S’s into this wonderful design.
The bets on cruise speed are open..

Well, actually the speed would be better if it were two flat fours or sixes. The mentioned Diesels (especially the Austro) has an enormous frontal area, which in itself is not good for speed…

Nor will be the radiator intakes and outlets in the Y-tailplane.

Yes, you are right. I guess I will always be the typical frugal Dutchman who wants some economy..

Another thread discusses the differences in cockpit comfort between an RV10 and a Cirrus – but I’ll bet you this P100 is a lot more cramped even than the RV! Besides, the diesels are likely to be overweight for this design – which is indeed frugal on weight and materials. ISTR the wing ribs are made from a sandwich of balsa and tulip wood, for just one example.
Do not forget the original engines were by Mr. Bugatti – the man who classified the days’ Bentley racers as “the world’s fastest trucks” …
