Pre-Buy Check (Robin)

After owning a Robin for too short a period (emergency landing – write off) I am considering another metal Robin ;-)

Can anyone recommend a good shop between London and Birmingham for a pre-buy check ?
Flying it to Southern Germany might not meet the sellers idea of an ideal sales process…
And my limited experience make it more likely to miss something expensive (even though the current owner claims there isn’t)

Plane is under CAMO, but when I picked up the previous Robin right out of annual with fresh ARC and all:
stall warning didn’t work and neither did one of the hydraulic brakes
:-(
So, my trust in CAMO is somewhat shattered.

I prefer recommendations with first hand experience
(google search done… but then ?)

thanks in advance

Sorry for sidetracking the thread a little bit, but this statement merits a little bit of explanation, although it might best be done in another thread. On the 23rd Sept you wrote:

Being fairly new to ownership, I already learnt some of that when the plane came with a fresh ARC/annual

And now we write 18th Oct I am intrigued.

LFPT, LFPN

The number one enemy of metal Robins is corrosion, my advice would be to find a Robin manufactured from a tree.
