Avionics for sale

The following units have been removed from my plane during a recent avionics update. As I no longer require them I would like to sell them on.

Condition is as removed. Upon removal, they were all working fine. On request and for some additional cost the units could be provided with an EASA Form 1.

In case of any questions or if you would like to be sent some photos of the units, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

28 or 14 V?

if 14V I am very interested!

This system is available as 14 and 28 Volt. There is a switch on the KG-102 gyro to select 14 or 28V. The KG-102 then generates the +5V +15V and -15V needed by the KCS-55 system

Garmin 500 going in ?

An Aspen PFD and a PowerFlarm going into the panel on the co-pilot side. I already have an Aspen on the pilot-side.

I just got the plane back from the shop and only yesterday did a more extensive test flight (everything seems to be working as it should, touch wood) but I have not yet taken any pictures.

my avionic shop tells me, they are different part numbers for 28 and 14 volt and not compatible. So what is correct? I’ve seen several very good offers go away because they were 28 v.

Mooney Driver,

I will send a mail with my phone number to the mail address on your web page.

28 or 14 V?

Please also see Jesse’s comments, the input voltage can be chosen by a switch on the system.

I will be taking the KCS 55 compass system out of my aircraft in late June I would intend to sell the whole system including the slaved Two needle RMI and all the kit to drive it.

This is currently fitted in. 14 VDC aircraft.

This is correct. Basically the KG-102 powers the systems. The KCS-55 system used +5, +15 and -15V DC for internal operation (and 400 Hz AC as well).
This voltage are generated inside the KG-102. Depending of the switch on the KG-102 this power supply can run on 14 or 28V.

The difference in partnumber are due to indicator lights which differ. These could be changed as well as required.

Looking at the IMs I can see that the wiring of the illumination (backlight) differs for 12V v. 24V. For 24V they put 2 lamps in series.

Otherwise, as Jesse says, the whole basic system (KI525 HSI, KA5x slaving accessory, KMT112 fluxgate) is powered from the KG102 / KG102A and that is 12/24 switchable. The bit which is powered separately is a KI229 RMI (if you have one) and that works from 12-24V anyway.
