I have a century 31 autopilot which is irratic! I always run the test on the ground before flight. Sometimes in flight it engages and will hold heading on the bug and altitude perfectly. Other times it holds altitude but begins a turn to the right and won’t track to the heading bug!
I would love to get it to a point where it is more reliable its so useful in turbulence or cloud.
1) has any body had a similar experience?
2) can anybody recommend a workshop in the uk who will service the autopilot? I don’t think it was used by the previous owner for a few years.
