Yes, indeed the C175 is underrated. Performance is excellent, albeit it has some shortcomings you have to deal with. You carry 52 gal in the tanks, useable are, because of certificiation issues, only 43 gal. MTOW is 1066kg making it not a real fourseater if you want to travel. These shortcomings are all sorted out in the Hawk XP/Reims Rocket. With the installation of the Wing-X-Stol extensions we increased MTOW to 1157 kg, we are now on par with the Hawk XP.
