Courchevel LFLJ PA46 F-HYGA crash

If I’ve copied this link correctly it’s a good example of the optics maxbc was talking about on final approach although this one is to Val.d"Isere just up the mountain.from Courcheval
The final approach.is flattish but the final approach speed 1.3Vs + allowance for Ve( effective wind) + allowance for turbulence (these last 2 usually found during the high and low reconaissance of the field,
and aiming point are very important.
Too little speed and you fall short of the aiming point and is very difficult to round out without smashing the nose wheel as would too fast on final.
Courcheval is of course a much busier altiport and one can get a lot of the approach picture, but not all of it, from AFIS.

[ YT link fixed – only https ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwQCtLoKqx4 was needed, not https://youtu.be/JwQCtLoKqx4?si=3x_AcYjfjb41VkuC ]
