TERPS and PAN-OPS procedure manuals

TERPS

This is not the latest edition but I am told nothing has changed.

It shows how much detailed work goes into the design of instrument approaches.

Europe uses a different manual, I believe.

Interesting. In fact, as far as I know, there are countries in Europe which do use TERPS (at least partly). Don’t remember which.

Jeppesen annotates their approach charts with the standards that the State used for developing the procedure. They will state either TERPS or PANOPS on the chart.

KUZA, United States

The Royal Danish Air Force has “TERPS” printed on the IACs they use for Danish Airports. I have absolutely no idea why- the charts do not seem to offer lower minima.
