Calling MayDay (or Pan): on what frequency?

PAN PAN guys… not PAN.

I would even go so far as to say

PAN PAN PAN

just like I learned to say the thrice holy

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY

EBZH Kiewit, Belgium

No, that would be

PAN PAN, PAN PAN, PAN PAN

EBST, Belgium

It’s just as well we use the French words for Help Me (m’aider)….I think a lot of pilots would be reluctant to cal “Help Me, Help Me, Help Me!”….I wonder if there is a greater reluctance from. French pilots to declare an emergency! Or even “Bread Bread, Bread Bread, Bread Bread”
