Twin Beech aerobatics

I’m not into aerobatics much, but this video is really nice. To be honest, the first two rolls, near the ground, are heart-stopping (for me, at least).

Also, a few interesting bits of information on the Beech 18 at the beginning.

Mainz (EDFZ) & Egelsbach (EDFE), Germany

These guys are crazy … his father (Jimmy :-) is one of the longtime regulars in Oshkosh.

Yes, some of those rolls are a bit heart stopping … too risky for my personal taste

Matt’s father and sister have both been killed in airshow performances (if I’m not mistaken) so the risks of the family trade must be evident to him. Similar to motorcycle racing families like the Dunlops from Northern Ireland. His father (Robert A. or Bobby) signed off a wing recover on my plane in the 80s, when it was based in their area.

“This is the best maintained Beech 18 in the world bar none” – now please look the other way while i secure the cockpit windows with speedtape.

He doesn’t take much notice of the terrain warnings on the 430, does he?
