Incident at Calais

Amazing stuff. TFRs aside, I've never heard of anybody paying a fine for airspace violations in the US. Usually it's a talk on the phone or some retraining for flagrant violations. I'm sure it's happened, but its not something I've heard about.

A few years ago a man I knew, who sadly passed away at 90 the other day, took off on what ended up being his last solo flight. He climbed up into the Class B overhead our field, up to 8,000 ft where the floor of the Bravo airspace starts at 4,800. The result was a talk on the phone between the FAA, he and his son, no violation. My friend his son made sure it didn't happen again.

you missed to drop a bucket of red roses for Carla Bruni, as Gunter Sachs did for Brigitte Bardot ...

dropping things from an aircraft is forbidden. §7 LuftVO. Roses are not on the exception list.

I'm not sure the tiny Frenchman would have allowed some advance to his first lady.
