I am in Freiburg for work. The GA airport is easily reachable from/to the city.
I visited the facility today (by car). It was a perfect cloudless day. There was a lot going on with parachutes and gliders. The restaurant has a fantastic ambience, but I was disappointed with the food and cake.
The city looks quite beautiful, but I didn’t have time yet to explore it. I could post a few pictures of the city if I get a chance.
I have never been there. But when you recommend it as a nice GA destination, would you recommend it more for a daytrip or more for a weekend destination?
As I have not explored the city, maybe others could chip in. My impression is that the city has more to offer (sights, restaurants, etc.). So, a weekend trip would be nice, but it wouldn’t be bad for a day trip.
Looks appealing for a daytrip to me, now that they even supply MOGAS
