Risks of changing EOBT on an IFR flight plan

There is also a restriction on when the delay is requested. I found that it has to be done within the 24hrs preceeding EOBT i.e. if you file a FP for 3 days ahead, you can’t delay it right away. It may have been a EuroFPL restriction, not a Eurocontrol restriction…

Interesting topic ! These days are difficult to fly due to weather, thunderstorms nearly everywhere. This was the reason for delaying my perfect autorouter-FP yesterday and today several times, still on the ground. German AIS did not worry about since safety reasons are very important for both sides, many thanks for their help and understanding. Are there differences between Germany and UK ?

I just tried out something else: you can actually file a flight plan with Eurocontrol whose EOBT is in the past. The flight plan gets distributed to the ATS units immediately and the actual off block time is corrected to the filing time.
