Would a TAS system have prevented this mid-air?

Is it possible Peter that your infamously poor install just didn’t fit it correctly?

I wonder if your gear switch is hooked op to your TAS system Peter, it doesn’t seem to?

It definitely is not. They told me they could not work out the landing gear electrics, to work out where to connect to So they fitted a differential pressure switch (details in my writeup – that was poorly fitted too) which disables the audio when the IAS is below something like 50kt.

The system works really well and I would not want to change it. Disabling audio when the gear is down is exactly NOT wanted for Class G IAPs, because one drops the gear at GS intercept.
