I just heard of this aircraft in Cambridge, which does what I’ve always felt a reasonable hybrid aircraft should: it uses electrical power to boost the power at take-off, then recharges the batteries once it’s en-route. Sorry to divert attention away from the original engine though – good to see new products potentially on the way. And it’ll be a long while before avgas is finished and done with.
