What do you call one of these in German…
trying to find a couple. Either mail order, or down the local hardware shop, but have no idea what to ask for 
Schlauchnippel (hose nipple). When connecting two hoses one could also call it Schlauchverbinder (hose connector).
(forget about trying to pronounce that
