UK JAA to UK EASA license conversion, and radiotelephony license - £72 fee

We had a thread on this recently but I can’t find it…

I have sent off my paperwork to Gatwick and they say they want the £72.

When this was discussed here, someone corectly pointed to their price list which on page 5 says the radiotelephony add-on is free if you already have a pilot license:

Unfortunately on the bottom of page 4 it has this

so it is still £72

hello,

it was me that said it was for free my RT did expire in dec 2015 and I contacted the CAA and send them an aplication they came back to me and told me since I got a EASA PPL since 2014 (when my JAR expired) it is in the EASA Lic. marked for the RT Lic. so no need for me to renew RT Lic and also no costs

see below answer I got from CAA

Dear Mr
__
We recently received the application form SRG1106 for the renewal of your RT licence.
__
I have checked our records and can confirm that the EASA PPL that you had issued does include RT privileges, in section XII, page 3. Also included is the lifetime level 6 English language proficiency in section XIII below this.
__
Due to this, we do not need to reissue you with a separate RT licence, and no licensing action will be taken at this time.
__
Kind Regards,
__
