ICAO PPL -> EASA PPL with 150h -> all 9 exams

Still, “FISO” isn’t mentioned even there, and “FIS” has two explanations…

AFAIK (sorry! Couldn’t resist. ) “FISO” is a UK abbreviation, while the long list of acronyms in that thread was taken from the French AIP. Most of the abbreviations in that list are international (ICAO), but some are French and I think the second FIS explanation (…sector) is one of them.

Thanks for your input, all.
So the steps to take for this humble FAA & TC PPL holder, aspiring an EASA PPL issued by Belgium is this:
- Have an EASA Class 2 medical done by Belgian AME
- Pass the 2 theory exams (Air Law & Human Performance) in Brussels
- Hire an EASA instructor to prepare me for the skill test
- Pass the EASA skill test with an examiner
- Get my English tested by ELP examiner Belgium
- Apply for a R/T certficate
- Send in that pile of paperwork with Bel-CAA and have myself an EASA PPL!

I have been flying in EU airspace for years so I don’t forsee a lot of issues.
This Bel-CAA document lays out the steps pretty good for different ICAO → EASA conversions. PPL rules are on page 12. Something I wonder after reading this, is: does an ATO really have to ‘endorse’ me to take the skill test, or can an Flight Instructor I work with sign me off for the skill test?

Just heard back from the folks at NAC.
They apologize for misinforming me. If you have logged more than 100hrs in your logbook, only 2 exams will do the conversion trick.
