I got these snapshots the other day from an airliner. How far above the base of CAS the aircraft is, is self explanatory
Obviously this is not the whole story and CAS has to contain SIDs and STARs and missed approaches etc etc but most of the time the separation is generous. Yet anyone busting the CAS is going to be gone after even if say 5000ft below any actual traffic.
