I’m planning to start my IR training soon. Having just renewed my class 2 medical, I haven’t done the hearing test required for instrument flying.
Do you know is this exam can be added to the medical certificate or do I need to repeat the all thing?

Me too, only the hearing test was performed hence the validity remained unchanged.
What I find stupid is that the cost of the hearing test was negligible, so what I would have liked in the first place would be a question of the first AME whether I like to have the test added or not.
A bit off-topic – I just noticed that when the new NPA to Part-MED becomes implemented, the medical certificate should be amended to show a specific expiry date for “Class 2 + IR”
