Jodel Mousquetaire Film

How is it that the Bolkow 207 is 1/3 or less than the price of the D140, but on paper it would seem to be a close match? 120kts, lots of payload, great handling, same engine etc etc. I’m told they are really nice to fly?

My guess would be that the difference in value results from Bölkows being EASA certified aircraft, built in low volume with an extremely limited ‘support’ situation. Airbus owns the TC. They have one guy who circulates service bulletins and any ADs but do not supply parts. The 207 is none the less a really cool plane in my book, I’d like to have one.

The D140 has been built by SAN, too, so there are a lot non-experimental Mousquetaires iut there. I know of one that was even IFR certified. The new owners then made zhe atrocity of ripping all avionics and the AP apart and now it’s flying just with a radio and a transponder again…
