I agree, but that’s the way it is. To “rubberband” a flight plan leg on the GTN we have to snap to a waypoint. So it’s a three or four stage process:
1. Create a user waypoint by tapping the GTN screen in roughly the right place.
2. Rubberband the FP leg to that point.
3. If necessary, edit the user WP coordinates to move it exactly where we want it.
4. Activate the desired FP leg.
As for who has a Connext compatible app, well, there’s only one: Garmin Pilot. The others simply don’t work properly. Still, I guess that almost everyone who has a GTN also has GP on their tablet or phone.
