Meetups in the winter

and longer if borders / seas need to be crossed, for lack of experience

Le Touquet could not be easier. Super friendly ATC, staff, easy procedures, nice walk into town, nice town, great food

But if I understand correctly, you do need to pass through C&I coming from the UK? (For me from France, it’s more trivial ^^)

France

For the EU, the UK is like the US, etc.

In the UK every airport effectively has C&I, by using the GAR form (2hr PN, generally).

So to fly UK – LFAT, you need a GAR form at the UK end only. In theory there is a 2hr PN email at LFAT but in reality they don’t care (they have told me; they are there HRS AD anyway).

A different structure is needed, because longer distances are harder to fly. One needs to do more localised meetups.

Maybe more people to post in the ad-hoc fly-ins thread or Telegram? Even for the simplest of flights. Admittedly I’m guilty of not doing this very often.
