Anyone know what is going on with Skype? Virus attack?
No, it was their server problem. Generally, if anything like this happens, the first place to look for news is heartbeat.skype.com.

We have identified the network issue which prevented users from logging in and using Skype today. We’re in the process of reconnecting our users, and focused on restoring full service. The issue did not affect Skype for Business users.

Its amazing how much one depends on the internet. and various communication programs.
Was pretty major yesterday with Skype. And I do wonder if it really was purely a server issue. It did look pretty much like some form of attack.
I had been having problems for a while several weeks, usually Skype to Skype not phone. That is all fixed now so maybe an attack that caused one to not be able to sign on however now they corrected it. Could possibly have been an unrelated problem. No matter as long as its fixed.
