Reversed fuel selector placards - PA28

https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2017/may/30/reversed-fuel-selector-placards-prompt-faa-concern

I wonder how long it would take some pilots to realise this… possibly a long time since most don’t have a totaliser and have near-useless fuel gauges.

The PA28 fuel gauges are pretty accurate, at least the one I have flown.

I would not trust a light aircraft fuel gauge any further than I could throw an elephant.

I agree that it would usually take a long time to notice. Most light GA fuel gauges seem to be worthless as mentioned by the posters before. I wonder why. Once again light GA seems to be light years behind the automotive industry. My VWs fuel gauge is quite accurate.

Well the PA28 I fly is 48 years behind the current automotive industry, no question about that.
