It is no coincidence.

This is the “XYZ” system for transmitting heading data around the aircraft. I have not been able to find a free copy of this document – despite its age!

Slightly more recent is ARINC429 where Label 320 is used, within a 32 bit packet, but that system is just as weird. They just could not resist numbering the bits differently to “computer conventions”.
