That’s a good point. For example an overhauled KFC225 servo doesn’t need to have a new motor or tachometer. I have this in writing from HBK. So you can have a servo which is 90% through its life but has been freshly “overhauled”, for something like $2k.
A lot of funny stuff goes on in the parts overhaul business…
