I know @Peter used a Thuraya XT sat phone back in 2014, but now with the new SatSleeve Hotspot that doesn’t need a cradle with both GPS and SAT antennas, is there any reliable, flush, external mount antenna that can be used?
The Hotspot device has a single SMA type connector on the back for the external antenna, and all I can find on their website are some bulky ones designed for marine environment or small magnetic ones designed for cars.
A dual Thuraya / Iridium model from a reliable source such as Antcom would be great, if I later want to switch to Iridium when their data services eventually improve…
