From July the 3rd, we have started our operations at Syros Dimitrios Vikelas Airport (JSY/ LGSO) on the beautiful Greek island of Syros. As it’s a Sterling Card location, you will benefit from the added convenience of being able to use your card to pay for fuel or alternatively, you may wish to use our new RocketRoute MarketPlace App.
Syros is located in the heart of the Aegean Sea close to the islands of Mykonos, Naxos, Paros and Tinos. It offers all the usual charm of the Greek islands with great beaches, delicious food and fantastic local hospitality.
The airport is just 3km from the main town of Ermoupolis and offers good facilities for General Aviation customers including a cafe and parking for up to six aircraft on the apron.
Ermoupolis is well worth a visit. It’s architecturally outstanding with buildings dating back to the 13th century. Most are made of marble and the vivid colors on the doors, windows and shutters add to its appeal. It is especially famous for the Vaporia quarter with its Catholic church of Agios Georgios, Town Hall and Apollo Municipal Theatre. The Apollo Theatre represents the first ever opera house in Greece.
