As we couldn‘t get a hotel in Spain for the hiking fly-in, we dcided to head northbound. A good decision, as the hiking fly-in was delayed to June due of weather, meanwhile the weather in the north was great.
Our first stop was Stettin (EPSC). The town was part of the Hanse. In the second world war it was nearly completely destroyed, but today many buildings are restored and it‘s worth the trip.
The next day we departed direction Malmö (ESMS). It is a vivid town. And to go from the Airport to the city is easy, as there is a very good bus. You may buy the tickets via the app and it will save you some money additionally.
If in the town I recommend to go for dinner to „The Bastard“. Perfect atmosphere and excellent food.
Finally we continued to Esbjerg (EKEB) to enjoy one last day on the beach. Before we spend the evening with fine dining in the Posthuset.
On the way back to EDDS we used the opportunity to land at EDXR. Cheap fuel, 1,80 € per liter and a pilots rumpsteak made the landing a really good choice.
Three days of VFR flying. We enjoyed it very much.
