Approach Plates

As I do not subscribe to Jeppesen, I rely on the Euro control Website "AIS by State, to look up and download approach plates etc. Each country publishes the relevant information for free, presumably by international agreement. When I tried to navigate the German AIP website it seems to indicate that “nichts ist umsonst, werden Sie zu zahlen haben!” Is this correct? Perhaps one of our German friends can enlighten me.

ps It seems that Poland wants to charge as well. I will have to go through all the countries and see who does not charge.

The general AIP and the IFR plates are available for all countries in Europe. Also for Germany.

It’s the VFR content where things get interesting and various.
