I assume these “private sales” ex-military aircraft are made civil by disabling/destroying the capacity to have weapons on them. “Probably” there are some states/organisations that have the capacity to reinstate that capacity on these airframes…
A 1980 F-16 is probably a block 5 or 10, possibly 15. Brand new it costed around US$ 10-15 M. This has 6000 h and an asking price of 8.5 M. I did maintenance on these in the mid 80s I don’t think they last longer than 5-6000 h, structural limit.
It would have to be a B or D model, otherwise I can’t take the wife up for a bimble around Gloucestershire, which means she won’t let me have the money.
