As I did last year, I’ll be following up the Bordeaux fly-in with a Franco-English pilots’ get-together at Lee On Solent on the weekend of 16/17 September, which is also the weekend of the “Daedalus 100” show, with historic aircraft displays and other attractions.
The aim is to encourage the numerous French PPL holders I train and test for their English RT proficiency to make the hop across the channel and put their new qualification to good use.
Of course, “Franco English” also involves some participation from the English side, and I would love to see some UK pilots join us.
There will be a few activities during the weekend :
- Visit to the historic ships
- Curry night
- Fly-out to Duxford (including Stansted CTR transit if allowed) for those interested
