Very interesting.
BTW the title book is called We landed by moonlight.
@Capitaine a very good friend, sadly deceased now, used to ferry Hudsons from Canada to the UK. He used to tell such wonderful stories of his war years and his flying career before and after the war.
In a book, which I would love to find, there is a chapter titled the 7 Hudsons. It was about a secret mission to collect 6 Hudson bombers from Canada and deliver them to Prestwick. He was one of the pilots and the 7th Hudson (it was his name). It was a time of very little in the way of navigational instruments but they all made it. Not necessarily all landing at Prestwick without stopping to ask for directions🙂
