Worst GA accident in Denmark in years (tailwind departure)

Why don’t these people use the myriad of tablet and smartphone apps to calculate their takeoff roll and w&b. Not even necessary to draw lines on old POH paper copies. Slide a couple rulers on a screen, that’s it. I don’t get it.

Beautiful aircraft – use to fly a superb all black with gold highlights version, and it flew beautifully. As singles go, it is a real comfy long distance tourer. It simply is not a short grass field aircraft unless you know the aircraft and its perfomance limitations very very well indeed.

In addition, and is we know, grass is tricky stuff. Even with all the performance data, the added marginis vital, as aircraft simply dont always seem to perform as they should, usually because you assess the grass as bing a bit shorter, a bit less dense, or a bit less slippery than it really is.
