Yeah I think I would feel the same if I dug into the mechanical side. The level of care (or lack thereof) I read about sometimes mades me think that aircrafts are just like any other technical job: if you want to be sure it was done with care (and suits your specific needs), you have to do it yourself. It’s true for a lot of things (even for software). I could lean towards this builder spirit at some point, but it takes time, and you can’t do everything yourself in life so you have to choose the domains where you add the most value.
