AOPA Safety Video

I justz came across this video which somebody posted on FB. Normally i don’t even watch stuff like that to the end, but I must say that this is very well done and it can teach a unexperienced IFR pilot a lot.

What would you have done … I asked myself. I hope I would have realized the ILS option with the higher minimum, but maybe I would have flown the LPV down the runway, no matter how low … I think a 430W will bring you down to the threshold.
But then: I wouldn’t have done the whole flight altogether, not enough margin in the forcast for me.

You?

The video answers the question. With the panel failure he should have not attempted the landing at the primary and gone alternate to get into VFR conditions.

I have watched all AOPA ASI videos and think they are very educational.

Are there similar videos you know of? Please share!

This pump is supposed to suck all time as long as you keep on speed & centered (don’t expect it to suck ice tough)

" is supposed to suck all time as long as you keep on speed & centered"
In my experience, it sucks as long as there’s flying speed, and “normal” ball off centre doesn’t have any effect.
